so this would be the first proper post on this page and even though it won’t be public for another few days (weeks? months?) if you’re reading this then you should know a few things. most of them you can read in the about page but i did want to mention that all pre-2002 entries in this page were done under various other domains and incarnations of this site.

EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES

Juan Carlos and I went to a midnight screening of EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES at a midnight show in Plaza Las Americas. The lines were long but as soon as they opened the doors everybody went in pretty fast since they opened all 9 of the new screens. Once we got in the right screen, we sat down and waited for everybody to file in and settle down. Nobody went in costumes like for EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE, but plenty of people came in groups, some couples even brought their babies.

When the text crawl at the beginning of the movie came on the screen everybody moaned since it was in spanish and we thought we were in a dubbed version of the movie in spanish. We had to wait a few minutes to find out that the dialog was indeed in english but i know a few people left for other screens.

Tonight Juan Carlos and I what is rummored to be Puya last concert ever. I was able to talk my way into keeping my camera past security. We hung out with Ernie who flew down from florida because he was told by the band that it is indeed their last show. we tried to ignore and avoid JJ and Kelvim, both those guys are stuck in the 80’s they need to grow the fuck up and cut their hair.

The show started with some Bomba dancers.
